Prerequisite Requirement: Italian 3A
Aim: As this is the culmination of the Italian major, the module aims at consolidating the students' proficiency in the four basic language skills at an advanced level, with greater focus on self-expression and writing skills. It provides an overview of the more advanced aspects of syntax and stylistics. Literary texts are chosen according to themes that highlight contemporary social issues.
Content: Advanced Italian syntax and grammar, basic translation taken from diverse language registers, selected reading, contextualisation and discussion of contemporary Italian literature.
Assessment: Examination/Continuous Assessment
DP Requirement: 90% attendance and timeous submission of all assignments and course work.
